Fiberglass mesh

Fiberglass mesh

Fiberglass reinforcement mesh is an active product in Zentyss Therm E - thermal system. Along with adhesive represents the reinforcement layer that will ensure the protection of polystyrene panels, against mechanical and atmospherical agents. Fiberglass reinforcement mesh is a Zentyss personalized product.

PROCESS

Fiberglass reinforcement mesh is the active element from Zentyss Therm E - thermo-system that provide's adhesive layers reinforcement, providing the protection of polystyrene panels, beeing the final support for the final facade finish. Zentyss fiberglass mesh is impregnated with a styren-acrilyc copolymer resistant to alkaline environment.

APPLICATIONS

Fiberglass mesh is used in civil and industrial buildings as follow:

  • as reinforcement layer applyed to polystyrene or mineral wool panels, in buildings walls thermal insulation process. Are used especially fiber meshs of 145 g and 160 g according to designer instructions.
  • for mineral mortar reinforcement used in interior plaster and flooring screeds is recommended the use of those with 75g, 90g, 110g and 125g weight.
  • for adhesive layers and mass palette knife reinforcement, WDEZ Premium and Standard, within Zentyss Thermal E system.

ADVANTAGES

  • glass fiber mesh are guarantee 5 years by the producing company.
  • after usage, they are warranty at least 15 years, with the condition of usage areas and working rules compliance.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

During Zentyss Therm E setup process a very important step is the application of WDEZ Premium back coat and the reinforcement with GNET fiberglass mesh.

Fiberglass mesh is applied after first thermal system components (adhesive, polystyrene panels, mass palette knife).

At the begining will be applied additional protection to the facades edges and windows sills, and additional diagonal reinforcement over facades gaps in form of patches of minimum 25 x 50 cm.

We apply supplementary protections to the edges of the frontages, at the windowsills but also we add diagonal reinforcement, patches of minimum 25x50 cm, over the frontage gaps. We add a palette knife and adhesive Wdez Premium mass, on the trajectory's width of the fabric, which has 2/3 of the layer's necessary thickness, and the fiberglass is apply in minimum 10 and 20 cm. at the cornering or at the edge.

The soffit of the corners gaps of the frontage will also be reinforced before applying the seizing, with a fiberglass net. This one will have a length of minimum 4 times bigger then the thermo system's width, divided in half on the two sides of the gap.

After this operations we apply the adhesive by using a palette knife of 8-10 mm. then in the freshly scraped mass we insert the fiberglass fixture, in vertical strips. The overlapping of the strips will be of minimum 10-20 cm. when cornering on the edge. The palette adhesive thickness must be of minimum 2-3 mm. Over these we put the fiberglass net, then we scrape again on top of it, according to the "wet to wet" system, using the Wdez Premium adhesive, so that a leveled coverage of the net's surface is assured. Finally the net should not be visible.

Note: if for two weeks the primer reinforced is not applied, Epan insulating panels has to be polished and mopped again, in order to remove the aged layer and to ensure good adherence of the primer.
